Junnan Jiang submited his doctoral thesis in October, and we are delighted that he came through his viva voce examination in December. His thesis concerns grain boundary sliding and superplasticity/creep in Sn-Bi. highlights were micro-mechanical testing of sliding at individual isolated grain boundaries and the first 3D observations of grain neighbour switching in the interior of a sample using diffraction contrast tomography. Junnan is now finalising and agreeing minor corrections to his thesis. Congratulations Junnan!
