2021-2022 Part II Research Student
Simona joined the OMG for her part II final year research project. She is worked on high entropy alloys and exploring the possibility of developing a sustainable HEA system. Using elements readily available and separable in waste streams and with relatively benign original sourcing, she proposed an alloy composition. This was arc melted and the microstructure-property relations were explored.
Simona moved on to a role as a patent scientist at EIP.
