In 2021, he started his PhD in Materials Science at Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. Christopher Gourlay and Prof. Katharina (Tinka) Marquardt.
His research focuses on controlling the shape and size of deleterious primary intermetallic compounds (IMCs) in light alloy castings and electronic solders. Using advanced electron microscopy techniques, his project aims to provide new insights into how primary IMCs nucleate and grow in alloy melts.
